Privacy & Data Protection Notice

Last updated: 20 August 2026

DFIP Blue Growth Partners (“DFIP”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what information we collect through https://dfipbluegrowth.com, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. It is written with Kenya’s data-protection environment in mind, including the Data Protection Act, 2019.

DFIP Blue Growth Partners is not currently certified under any formal data-protection or information-security certification scheme, and this notice does not claim registration, approval or endorsement by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, Kenya, or any other regulator.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in two situations:

  • Contact enquiry data — when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, organisation (if provided), subject and message.
  • Policy-publication request data — when you request a full policy paper, we collect your full name, organisation, position/job title, email address and, if provided, country, together with the publication requested, the time of the request, and — solely for spam and abuse prevention — a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. We do not store your raw IP address.

We do not knowingly collect financial account details, government identification numbers, or other special categories of personal data through this website.

2. Purpose of processing

We use this information to:

  • respond to your enquiry or request;
  • verify and fulfil requests for gated publications;
  • maintain a record of who has requested our publications, for our own accountability;
  • protect the website against spam, abuse and automated misuse; and
  • where you have separately and affirmatively opted in, send you occasional DFIP research, policy and partnership updates.

Marketing communication is always optional and is never a condition of receiving a requested publication. You may withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time by emailing anthony@dfipbluegrowth.com.

3. Retention

We retain contact and publication-request records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain accountability records, and meet our own legal and reporting obligations, after which records are deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion, subject to any legitimate business or legal need to retain a record of the request.

4. Data security

Full policy documents are not published on any publicly accessible page or address. They are released only through a server-side access control mechanism after a valid request, using a signed link that expires automatically. Submitted enquiry and request data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled infrastructure. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we apply security measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the information involved.

5. Processors and third parties

We use reputable infrastructure providers (such as our cloud hosting and storage provider) to operate this website and store submitted records securely. These providers process data on our instructions and are not authorised to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information. The DFIP One demonstration video is hosted on YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode; playing it is subject to Google’s own privacy practices once you choose to play the video.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

7. Cookies & analytics

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party tracking analytics. If analytics are introduced in future, we will use a privacy-conscious implementation and update this notice accordingly.
